With an ever expanding congregation of registered members and countless visitors, Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church (WABC) is a dynamic, growing body of believers. Acts 2 describes what I like to describe as the “all in” church. The Acts 2 church put in all they had individually and collectively to be the hands, feet, and heart of Christ in that community. However, this is not just a picture of the past. It truly is the vision of what we desire WABC to become — an all in Christ-centered community. With this in mind, our charge has been to develop a Christian education and discipleship training program that would work to equip and train our members, friends and surrounding communities to navigate these challenging times in which we live. The program has two components — I Want to Grow and I Want to Connect.
The Mission of CLASS is to provide Christ-center transformational Biblical instruction and activities to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20)
Christian Life Advancement Sunday School (CLASS) is one of the foundational pillars of the Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church's Christian Education/Discipleship Ministry. CLASS is firmly committed to Christian growth and transforming lives through personal and group interaction with the Word of God. The Word of God must be understood by the believer, embraced in his/her faith walk, and its biblical truths exhibited in the reality of daily living. CLASS serves a weekly platform for learners to explore the Bible. To that end, CLASS's purpose is to reach, teach the Bible, care for, witness to, fellowship with, and lead everyone - all ages - to worship our almighty God. Our focus is on people; and to have them know more about God through the study of His Word.
