During this 2024 Election season, we have all been challenged by Former First Lady Obama to do something! It is critical that all of us make our voices heard as we stand together for the good of our country and for the future of our children. On October 12th at 10 am, the Social Justice Ministry is hosting an online Voter Education Workshop to better equip you as an informed voter. Partnering with the Harris County Clerk's Office Elections Department and other community partners, we will be discussing several topics including: Voter Eligibility, Residency Requirements, Voting- by-Mail, Early Voting and ADA Assistance Guidelines. Come gain pertinent information about the propositions and proposed bonds on the ballot this year and how they may affect you. There also will be specific information available for our college students to make sure they are ready to vote. All participants will walk away with tools and resources to create and share voting plans that empower them to DO SOMETHING!
Please note that this is a virtual event held on Zoom. The link will be provided to you by a member of the team via email prior to the event.
